What is Revivle?
Revivle is a personal style community built on real connection, not trends. We’re putting the fun back into getting dressed through outfit sharing and shopping your friends’ closets. Our circular shopping ecosystem thrives on community and knowledge sharing, creating a sustainable cycle where quality clothing is celebrated and recirculated.
How does Revivle work?
Our platform helps you sort, sell and shop secondhand through your digital closet and daily outfits. Revivle builds your digital closet from your gmail connection, letting you can list items for sale in a couple of seconds. We pull out the brand, item name, colors, size, recommend a price, and provide some stock photography.
When you post an outfit Revivle will automatically link what you’re wearing to the items you have in your closet. By checking out another user’s personal style, you can discover what’s in their closet, find new brands, one of a kind style and shop through direct connection.
When you see something you like in the marketplace you can “reserve” it, and when the seller accepts you are both charged a small reservation fee, then connected in a private chat to make your purchase off-platform. This keeps fees as low as possible!
How do I take a good outfit pic?
Lighting! Lighting is the most important aspect of a good photo. If you have a full length mirror in a well-lit location, that will be the easiest. If you don’t have a great mirror or it’s in a dark hallway, we recommend using your front camera on a timer. Get the camera as vertical as possible and step back about 8 feet to get a full-body shot.
Does Revivle have a mobile app?
A mobile app will be available very soon!
Data Privacy
Do I need to worry about my data?
We don’t make money on your data, and we never will. Revivle is supported through reservation fees, letting us focus on building the best experience for our users. We will never sell your personally identifiable data (PII), use it for advertising or use it to train models. PII includes things like your name, email, phone number, address, bank info, face, etc.
What email does Revivle access?
If you choose to connect your email, Revivle only ever requests email receipts, and once an item is in your closet we discard the email. We've passed Google's strict CASA 2 security review, so you can be confident that your data is safe. You approve every item before it's viewed by the public, and you can disconnect your email, delete items, or delete your account and all of your data from your settings at any time.
What part of my account is public vs private?
Your closet items created from an email connection are private while in the Pending closet, and become publicly browsable once you “keep” them. Anything in your Archive closet is private as well. Outfits photos and closets are public so people can connect with you and browse your closet.

Account Management
How do I join?
You can create an account with Google login, or a username and password.
How do I disconnect my email?
Go to your profile icon, then Manage Account, then Connected Emails. You can see your connection status there, renew your connection, or disconnect your email. If you disconnect your account we can’t add new purchases to your closet, but when you reconnect we can catch up.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile icon, then Manage Account, then Security, and choose Delete Account and follow the directions. Your account is deleted instantly and it cannot be recovered.
How do I delete items?
Move an item to Archive, then you will see a “Keep” and a “Trash” button on the item. Select “Trash”. Your item will move into pending trash for 30 days, then it will be deleted forever. To recover something from pending trash, go to your Profile Icon, then Manage Account, then Trash Can.
I forgot my password, how can I get in?
Use the “Forgot my password” option on the login screen to reset your password.
Can I connect more than one Gmail account?
Yes! Connect one email account during sign-up, then go to your profile icon, then Manage Account, then Connected Emails and you can add a second account.
Do you support email accounts other than Gmail, such as Comcast, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.?
At this time we only support Gmail. If this is important to you, please email us and let us know!
Closet
How do I build my digital closet?
We have three ways to quickly build your digital closet:
- By connecting your Gmail account, Revivle can build your digital closet in a few minutes from your email receipts. Any clothing you purchased online or in-person with a digital receipt will show up.
- You can post your daily outfits, and add items to your closet from your outfit post. This is fast and fun. Your outfit photo is shown on the item, and we will also fetch internet images for the item.
- You can manually add items. We only require brand and item, but filling in color name and size helps us find the right images for you.
How long does it take to digitize my wardrobe?
Less than two minutes, or a fraction of the time it takes for you to hang the stuff on your “clothes chair”. You can then sort your closet, or let Revivle do it for you as you wear them in outfits posts.
Does Revivle help me get images for my closet and listing?
Yes, Revivle automatically pulls ~10 images from the internet based on your listing title. We also include all of the images from the email receipt. If you’re not getting alternate images that you like, we recommend making sure your brand, item name, color name, and size are correct. Once you update those fields, new images will be fetched.
Can I add items by forwarding receipts?
Yes! Every user has their own unique forwarding address. When you forward receipts to that address they are added to your account. To find your forwarding address go to your profile icon, then Manage Account, then Connected Emails then Email Forwarding.
Can I add an item via URL?
We don’t currently support adding items via URL, but we will in the future. Email us if this is important to you!
Transactions
What are Revivle's fees?
We built our peer to peer marketplace to give our users the highest return possible on their sales. We charge a 5% reservation fee to both buyers and sellers, and then connect you in a private chat so you can make your transaction off-platform. There is a minimum fee of $1 on each transaction.
How do fees work?
When a buyer reserves an item and the seller accepts, both parties pay a 5% fee to connect. The rest of the transaction happens directly between buyer and seller.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
You are paid directly by the buyer, so no withdrawal is needed.
Are reservations refundable?
Reservations are not refundable. You should always keep your conversations with members in the in-app chat so that we can help when someone fails to respond in a timely manner.
Does Revivle offer buyer protection?
In order to keep fees as low as possible, the actual transaction to buy and sell items happens off platform via Paypal Goods & Services or Venmo. Your buyer protection is provided by Paypal or Venmo. You can find Venmo's buyer protection information and Paypal’s buyer protection information on their websites.
How do I know if this person is safe to transact with?
Revivle works hard to make sure every user is authentic and safe. Given that, it’s always a good idea to know who you are transacting with.
- Does the user have verified items in their closet?
- Does this user have their real name and a photo of their face on their profile?
- Has this user posted multiple outfits so you can get to know them?
- Does this user answer questions and communicate kindly?
How should I make/accept payments?
Once an item is reserved, buyers and sellers are connected in a private chat to coordinate payment. You should always use a platform that provides you with buyer/seller protection — either PayPal Goods & Services or Venmo.
Buying
What does it mean to "Reserve" an item?
Reserving an item makes it unavailable on the marketplace, giving you a “lock” on the item until the seller either accepts — triggering an automatic payment — or declines. It can also time out after 48 hours if the seller doesn’t respond.
When a seller accepts, both the buyer and seller pay a 5% reservation fee (that’s $1 each on a $20 item, $5 each on a $100 item). From there you are connected in a private chat to complete your transaction off-platform via Paypal G&S or Venmo.
Can I make an offer?
Yes! Click the “Make Offer” button and set your own price. If the seller accepts you will be charged automatically and connected to complete your purchase.
What should I look for before reserving, or making an offer?
Make sure you understand what you’re buying. At a minimum you should ask:
- The item’s condition
- For original photos of the item
- If shipping is included, if the buyer pays shipping, or if you can do local pickup.
In addition, if measurements are important you should ask for those too. Even if you know the inseam of those pants, it’s smart to double check!
What happens when my reservation is accepted?

How do I get my item?
Shipping, delivery or pickup arrangements should be agreed before purchase. Once payment has been made, the seller should coordinate with you to ensure you receive your purchased item as discussed.
Can I save a search and get notified when items match?

What payment methods does Revivle accept for reservation fees?
Revivle takes credit cards and bank transfers, powered by Stripe. If there is another payment method you’d like to see supported, please let us know. Bank transfers are free, and credit cards have an additional fee.
How quickly do I need to pay a seller?
You should pay the seller within 48 hours of purchase.
Selling
How do I list an item with Revivle?
If you’ve connected your email account, Revivle automatically builds your listing, including brand, item name, color, price, stock photos, and a suggested listing price.
To quickly find an item you want to sell just search for it in your closet. From there click “List” on an item and confirm your price.
Make sure you click the image icon to select the best stock image for your product, and upload your own photos if you have them. Personal photos and measurements make the biggest difference in making a sale!
Where do your estimated resale values come from?
Currently we get three comparable listings from eBay to calculate a recommended price range. After you list your item you can find these comparables at the bottom of your item card.
What happens when I confirm a reservation?
When you confirm a reservation, you and the seller are each charged a 5% reservation fee, then connected in a private chat to complete payment and delivery of the item. You will need to agree with the buyer on the payment method (Paypal G&S or Venmo), and shipping or delivery charges.
What brands do best on Revivle?
The best way to help the planet is to get the most wear out of every item before it makes its way to the landfill. We welcome any gently used pieces that can have more life with someone else, but our focus is on quality clothing that can cycle through the secondhand ecosystem and be loved for years to come — that means natural fibers like cotton, wool silk and cashmere with quality construction.
What do I need to disclose about my items?
In order to prevent returns and bad reviews you should always be honest about your item and disclose any flaws, repairs, or alterations. That includes odors, holes, pilling, felting, tears, mends, hemming, etc.
Can Revivle import my listings from other resale sites?
We plan on adding this feature in the future. If this is exciting to you please email us!
Shipping & Logistics
Does Revivle provide shipping labels?
Currently buyers and sellers handle shipping, but we will be integrating shipping labels in the future. We’d love to hear from you if this is a feature you’re excited about.
Who handles shipping costs?
Buyer should be clear who (buyer or seller) pays shipping in their listings before reservations happen. Also let buyers know if you’re willing to do local pickup!
How quickly do I need to ship an item?
You should ship an item within 48 hours of receiving payment.
What shipping carrier should I use?
Whatever service you are most comfortable using — USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and Uber courier are all fine options depending on where you are sending your items.
Returns & Issues
Does Revivle allow for returns?
Returns are not managed by Revivle. Buyers and sellers decide terms together.
What if there is an issue with my item?
We recommend always reaching out to the seller first and giving them a change to make it right. Being kind goes a long way; “Thanks for shipping this out quickly, I’m really excited about this item. Unfortunately it has [a hole|weird smell|swarm of bees] and I’d love to know if you could help.”
What if I can't resolve things with the seller?
Please reach out to the payment provider you chose — either Paypal or Venmo — for your buyer protection. Your buyer protection is provided by Paypal or Venmo. You can find Venmo's buyer protection information and Paypal’s buyer protection information on their websites.
Social & Community
How do I connect with other users?
You can follow people by discovering them in the outfit feed, compliment outfits, ask questions, or start a club. The best way to make friends is to chat with someone on their outfit posts or closet items.
